Atleast 4 cops escorting Chinese team injured in accident

Nowshera: On Tuesday, a police mobile van escorting a Chinese team providing services for the Special Economic and Industrial Zone in Rashakai, a project carried out under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), suffered an accident on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway. The incident resulted in injuries to four police officers, including Khanuddin, Diyar Khan, Driver Hafeez, and Muhammad Alam.

The accident occurred near the Wali Interchange when the tyre of the mobile van burst out, causing the vehicle to somersault. The injured officers were quickly transported to the Mardan Medical Complex and Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex in Nowshera, where they received medical attention and were declared to be in stable condition.

The Chinese team remained unharmed and was safely taken to their destination in Mardan. The police officers were providing security to the Chinese team during their travel from Karnal Sher Interchange to Mardan.
